In the upcoming issue of Rolling Stone magazine, the reader will find a cover story to Rihanna. On the occasion of the publication of the title “S & M” in the recent past, Rihanna also discusses the subject of sadomasochism. She says she stand to be tied it up and ran and her fun. At another point is that she has only recently discovered their masochistic streak, but was not really happy with it. That contradicts a little so that will be left is fun, the second statement seems to refer as on the sexual preferences but rather to the sting of their tattoos.

Therefore, one must watch it a little bit, because you can quite distort statements by omitting the following sentences. Presumably, that will be also the reason for the above mentioned contradiction.

2. How the public reacts short – and long-term care?
I assume that the story is quite true. You must ensure that the scenes as they in the corresponding music video (see below) to see, obviously deliberately exaggerated compared to Rihanna’s personal inclination are represented. She says only that she is like tied up and is carved, more is not Yes. It would be important for PR reasons a scandal to produce then she would probably much übertriebenere representations needed. And also the video itself has no huge waves of scandal. That is why PR stunt unlikely.
You can see off the short-term reaction right now. After a little googling turns out, that the English-speaking and German-speaking press react differently. The English media reports largely neutral (even a gossip page) and link almost all on the correct source say the site of the Rolling Stone. Many German media provide no sources at all to the part and try reißerischer to prepare the topic (that’s why they also no sources indicate otherwise one finds out too fast, that they exaggerate). So is mentioned for example almost always the incident, where she was beaten by ex-boyfriend Chris Brown. While something can be found also in the interview, but the story will be linked in the German media with the SM theme, while at Rolling Stone brought the two things very clearly not in conjunction. Anyway, this ex-friend’s action was clearly pure violence and has nothing to do with sexual inclinations to do, thus suggesting the German media here incorrect facts. Continue to translated it wrong: for example is “spanked” with “hit” translated, where “beat up” would be more appropriate. Or get exactly to be”ass kicked”, because spanking nunmal of origin made solely on blows refers to the rear. This usually uses in English “slapped” for situations with significantly greater potential for violence than for “spanking”. May be first a minor detail, but the effect of language is generally larger than you think, because subconsciously held also in part.
What are the long-term reactions now? While this may be my personal assessment, but gradually, I got the impression that SM is more and more “normal”. The handcuffs are so long to the bedroom accessories and bonds generally fun many people. If more celebrities come out, surely more people would say if the publicly available to SM, why we not? And already the whole thing takes its course, similar as in the homosexual: the more celebrities had outed himself, the more it became this preference (my impression was socially accepted anyway). But I will not too much speculate about the future role of the SM in the society. We will see how that years and decades developed.
